Deer and Turkey Hunters
What is different with e-Permits for deer and turkey hunters?
Hunters can print e-Permits on their home printers using regular printer paper. Therefore, they need to protect the paper permits from becoming unreadable. MDC suggests placing the permits in plastic sandwich bags or protecting the permits in some manner and then attaching protected permits to harvested game with wire, twine or tape. Instructions for use are on the printed permit sheets.
Deer and turkey permits have been be redesigned to have months and days of the month printed around the edges. Hunters must notch the month and day as part of recording their harvested deer.
Deer and turkey permits no longer have the adhesive strip traditionally attached to harvested deer and turkey as a transportation tag. MDC suggests attaching bagged permits to harvested game with wire, twine or tape. Instructions for use are on the printed permit sheet.

Can I reduce the size of my e-Permit to make it easier to fit in my wallet?
Yes. But be aware that you'll change the length of the 2-inch signature line, which serves as a ruler to help you measure the length of beard and spurs, two items of information required for the Telechecking process.
I notice that the Telecheck ID number remains the same for both spring turkeys and both archery any-deer permits. Doesn't this cause a problem? It seems to me I could be accused of checking two of each animal on one tag.
The Telecheck system was built to recognize that spring turkey, fall turkey and archery deer and turkey permits allow limits of more than one animal on a single permit. Therefore, the system allows hunters to check two turkeys or deer on the same Telecheck ID number for those permits where the established limits allow.
