Youth outdoor skills day set near Sedalia

Sedalia, Mo. – The Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC) and the Ha Ha Tonka Chapter of the Mule Deer Foundation will offer an outdoor skills event for youths from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, at the Sedalia Rod and Gun Club. MDC staff and volunteers will teach youth ages 8 to 18 skills such as archery, trap shooting, .22 rifle target shooting, fishing, and trapping. Firearms and ammunition will be supplied. This event is free but preregistration is required by May 5. Those under age 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

The annual M.U.L.E.Y. event helps connect families with nature. Newcomers to outdoor sports are welcome. Lunch will be provided. Door prizes will be given away.
