MDC's Runge Nature Center hosting Beast-Bop-A-Loo-Bop for preschoolers

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Preschoolers and their favorite adults are invited to discover nature and join the fun at "Beast Bop-A- Loo-Bop" story time at the Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Runge Conservation Nature Center on Oct. 12 at 10:30 a.m. Hear stories, sing songs and celebrate all kinds of critters, crawlers and creatures! The event is free, but pre-registration by Oct. 9 is required.

Sponsored by the Missouri Humanities Council, storytellers-musicians Sarah and Thom Howard use humorous, original children's songs and participation stories to excite young audience members about literacy skills. Each child attending will receive a free book.

Runge Nature Center is located on Hwy 179 in Jefferson City approximately .5 mile north of Hwy 50. Building hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday with extended hours until 8 p.m. on Thursdays. The building is closed on Sunday and Monday. The outdoor trails are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
