Enjoy "Nature is Art" event at Runge Nature Center April 16

JEFFERSON CITY Mo – Get artistic inspiration and have some family fun at “Nature is Art” on Saturday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Missouri Department of Conservation’s Runge Conservation Nature Center. No reservations are required.

Nature is Art will feature nature-art demonstrations and nature art for sale, a kids’ art room and natureboxing art along Nature Center trails. Runge will provide a free hotdog lunch from 11 a.m. – to 1 p.m.

The event will also include a brief dedication at noon of a larger-than-life bronze box turtle commissioned as an interactive sculpture in memory of past volunteer naturalists. A concert by Wildheart will follow from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
