The riffle beetle and the horsehair worm will be conservation teaching tools Saturday at “Science Matters,” a community event at the National Science Teachers Association regional conference on Saturady, Oct. 2, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in Exhibit Hall B at the Kansas City Convention Center, 301 W. 13th St.
After being closed since last December for extensive upgrades, the Jay Henges Rifle and Pistol Range is reopening Wednesday, Oct. 13. To celebrate, MDC is offering FREE SHOOTING Friday, Oct. 15, thru Sunday, Oct. 17.
