This is a basic shotgun course designed to get new
shooters on target! We will discuss gun fit, basic
shooting techniques, and breaking simple target
presentations. Shotguns and ammunition will be
provided; however, you may bring an unloaded
shotgun and the ammunition you are comfortable

While known for trout fishing, Roaring River State Park also has an array of hiking trails. Volunteer Naturalist Carmen Hallock will help you become familiar with their trail system. Meet at the nature center and carpool. Bring a sack lunch and water and wear comfortable hiking shoes. Hike is five miles and rated moderate to difficult. Ages 18-adult.
