Hunter Education
Nothing is more important to MDC than ensuring hunters return home safely. We have provided hunter education classes since 1957. In 2006, we certified Missouri's one millionth student, and we continue delivering up-to-date training and certification through 2,300 volunteer and staff instructors. We offer two methods to receive certification; 1) Through our traditional Hunter Education Classes or 2) Through our Online/Field day Course. We also offer Bowhunter Education Classes and a free, 15-minute online Tree-stand Safety course. Use the links below or to the right to find out more information or locate classes near you.
Missouri's Hunter Education Program provides a foundation in hunting safety and ethics. It is required for any hunter born after 1966.

If time is a problem, complete the written portion of your Hunter Ed certification online and only a required five- to six-hour field day.
