2011 Special Hunts for People with Disabilities

There are 10 special hunts exclusively for persons with disabilities. Application for these hunts is made through the hunt location, NOT through the “regular” managed deer hunt application process. For information about who qualifies and how to apply, call the specific hunt location during normal business hours between July 1 and Aug. 15, or by Oct. 1 for the hunt at Smithville Lake.

(1) Antlered deer must have at least one antler with at least 4 points.

(2) Hunters must attend a pre-hunt orientation; those who do not attend will be disqualified.

Limit Code:

B= 1 deer of either sex
C= 2 deer, but only 1 antlered
D= 2 deer, but only 1 antlered; must take and check-in antlerless deer before taking antlered deer
F= 3 deer, but only 1 antlered

Note: Most conservation areas remain open to the public for other activities during managed hunts.
