Project Learning Tree
By attending one six-hour PLT pre-K thru 8 workshop you will get:
- curriculum guide containing nearly 100 activities
- Correlations to the Show-Me Standards
- A new curriculum, revised to add what educators were requesting
- Access to a network of educators linked by a common interest
- A curriculum easily adaptable to many settings, with appeal to children of all ages, backgrounds and learning styles

- Hands-on, fun and interdisciplinary activities
With PLT, students will:
- explore history as it comes alive in their hands in "Tree Cookies"
- exercise their personalities as a tree in "Every Tree For Itself"
- discover creative writing skills in "Poet Tree"
- calculate water use in "Every Drop Counts"
- practice mapping multicultural and global uses of natural resources with "Resource Go Around"
PLT High School Modules
- Curriculum modules address contemporary environmental issues.
- Modules include: Exploring Environmental Issues: Focus on Forests, Forest Ecology, Solid Waste Management, Risk Assessment, World Forests, The Built Environment and Biodiversity
- Fun and challenging for older students
- Correlates with lessons in social studies, language arts, science, geography and math
- Offers opportunities for thematic units, research projects and field studies
