Join the fun June 7-8, 2008

Maybe you've never fished before, and you're not sure if it's right for you. Or perhaps you fished when you were a kid but never have time any more. You just want one day when you can take the family out to the lake and enjoy nature together. Free Fishing Days are your chance to sample the action without having to invest in a fishing permit.

Outdoor Recreation on Fresh Afield

Anglers can wet their lines in state waters without having to buy fishing permits, daily trout tags or trout permits at most locations. Requirements for special permits still may apply at some county, city or private areas. Normal regulations, such as size and daily limits, still apply, too. Borrow a neighbor's rod and reel, or come out to a Conservation Area where a Free Fishing Days program is scheduled, and borrow ours.
