Endangered Species Postcard Contest

Endangered Species Postcard Contest

Missouri’s K-12th-grade students can help Missouri’s endangered species just by learning and caring about them and their habitat. Our Endangered Species Postcard Contest makes it fun.

Every year, we challenge students to make a postcard showing one or more endangered Missouri species that depend on a particular habitat. The first-place winners in all five age categories get their postcards printed and sold through the MDC Nature Shop. How cool is that?!

We issue the challenge just after school starts back in the fall, so check back then for updated contest details.

2011 Endangered Species Postcard Contest

The 2011 Endangered Species Postcard Contest challenges Missouri’s kindergarten through 12th-grade students to illustrate a postcard with pictures of endangered species or species of conservation concern that depend on Missouri’s midsized rivers, such as the Platte, the Salt and the Osage rivers.
