Trees Work at the Missouri State Fair
The Trees Work campaign was a huge success at the Missouri State Fair this summer. First of all at forestry booth in the Missouri Department of Conservation’s building we gave away 1500 real wood Trees Work post cards. Most folks filled them out right on the spot and we mailed them for free. So, 1500 grandmas, soldiers, grandkids, siblings, cousins and friends (you get the idea) got a Trees Work postcard in the mail from their loved ones! We also showcased our new “Hello, My Name Is...“ tree identification signs around the building. These signs are a fun way to draw attention to trees and help with tree i.d. And, lastly we placed oversized price tags on several trees throughout the fairgrounds highlighting the dollar value in benefits that trees provide in their lifetime.
