Woods at Poplar Bluff Forest Natural Area
A very diverse bottomland forest on deep, productive soils at the contact zone of the Mississippi Lowlands and the Ozark Natural Divisions. Overstory trees include cherrybark, swamp chestnut, pin and southern red oaks; red, silver and sugar maple; and sweet and black gum, sycamore, rock elm and black cherry.
