Mint Spring Seep

Mint Spring Seep

A spring seep and seep forest, a small stream, and outcrops of Roubidoux sandstone in the Upper Ozarks Section of the Ozark Natural Division. The seep springs keep about a half-acre of the soil continually wet. Sycamore, swamp white oak, river birch, alder and spice bush are woody plants that grow here. Moisture-loving plants include several kinds of mosses and ferns, and the uncommon swamp saxifrage.
