Blue Pond
Blue Pond Natural Area
The deepest natural pond in Missouri (about 66 feet), of uncertain origin in the Lower Ozarks Section of the Ozark Natural Division. The pond's depth and sheerness make it unlike other sinkholes in the state. It may have been formed by earth movements caused by the New Madrid Earthquake.
