Wetland Services Biologist Rod Doolen is employed by the Conservation Department in southeast Missouri. He works with the Wetland Reserve Program, assisting with restoration of wetland habitat. He lives in the eastern Ozarks with his family. He says he likes to hunt, fish, hike and canoe. |

Andrew Forbes is an ornithologist with the Conservation Department and Audubon Missouri. He has had a lifetime interest in the outdoors. He enjoys fishing for smallmouth bass and catfish, hiking, and camping, in addition to birding. |

Lonnie Hansen has studied deer and been involved in their management for more than 25 years, 18 of that as a Conservation Department biologist. He enjoys hunting and fishing and managing wildlife on his property north of Columbia. |

Greg Hanzlick lives in Springfield with his wife, Kathryn, whom he describes as his favorite hunting partner. He learned to hunt and fish and to respect wild game and game laws from his father. He has been deer hunting for more than 30 years. He says he learned never to kill any creature he did not intend to eat. |

Tim Smith is a botanist in the Conservation Department’s Jefferson City office. He works to conserve Missouri’s plant diversity by protecting rare native plants and fighting invasive exotic ones. He and his dog, Lizzie, look forward to upland bird hunting each fall and winter. |

Tom Strother has worked for the Conservation Department for 20 years, serving as a conservation agent, training specialist and regional supervisor. He and his wife, Sandi, son, Tommy, and daughter, Jessie, live on 25acres in Boone County. |
