Missouri's statewide early teal season, which begins at sunrise Sept. 14 and ends at sunset Sept. 22, serves as the opening kickoff to several months of a wide variety of waterfowling opportunities in Missouri. This female green-wing teal appears to be stretching in anticipation of the season. Teal hunters take far more blue-wing teal than green-wing teal. The latter makes up only about 10 percent of the bag.
