White Breasted Nuthatch (Sitta carolinensis)
White-breasted nuthatches live in woodlands and suburban residential areas
throughout Missouri. They move up and down tree trunks, often upside-down, while
foraging for insects. Nuthatches visit bird feeders to eat sunflower seeds and
suet.
