image of contributor Laurie Brown has been the Urban Wildlife Biologist for the Conservation Department's Kansas City region since 1994. Her work helps urban private landowners provide better habitat for wildlife in a rapidly developing environment. She also works with city and county planners, developers, communities and members of the general public.
image of contributor Randy Doman is a conservation agent in Camden County. He learned his trade as an agent in Ripley County in southeast Missouri for three years before moving to Camdenton. In 2000, he was selected as the National Wild Turkey Federation's Wildlife Officer of the Year. When not on the job, Randy and his wife, Katie, are usually fishing somewhere on Lake of the Ozarks.
image of contributor Freelance outdoor writer Mark Goodwin lives in Jackson and teaches biology at Jackson Senior High School. He enjoys a wide variety of outdoor recreation and spends the bulk of his free time with family and friends in the Missouri Ozarks.

Current projects include working to get natural resources incorporated into developers' and city plans and encouraging cities to manage their urban forests. When not working, she enjoys bicycling, walking, and sea kayaking.
