Carol Davit

Carol Davit lives in Columbia but is a Gray Summit native. She enjoys hiking, botanizing and otherwise discovering Missouri's natural treasures. She works as special projects coordinator in the Conservation Department's Natural History Division and likes to learn about environmentally appropriate design.

Mike Leahy

Mike Leahy is a regional biologist with the Conservation Department in Columbia. He enjoys birdwatching, hiking, botanizing and gardening with his wife. A native of Illinois, Mike has come to appreciate the natural diversity of the Midwest.

Jim Low

Jim Low edits the Conservationist's "News and Almanac" section and writes news releases for the Conservation Department. His fascination with shotguns and how they perform dates back 33 years to his first scattergun, a 16 gauge West Point/Stevens single shot that still has a place in his gun cabinet.

John Schultz

John H. Schulz is a wildlife research biologist and works on a wide variety of farmland ecology issues. He is currently involved with regional and national mourning dove management issues and is a member of numerous mourning dove technical advisory committees. John and his family enjoy year-round outdoor fun on their 4-acre "farm" just north of Columbia
