Why redesign the site?

In a nutshell, to make it easier for you to find the information you need and get involved in local conservation efforts.

Since 1995, we've worked hard to keep MDC Online up-to-date and user-friendly. Now it's time to remodel and, through advances in technology, we're able to make our website more attractive, more navigable and easier to use.

What's changing?

What if...

...the site looks weird or the text is too large/small for me to read?

Our new design allows you maximum control over your experience. If the text on your browser looks too large or too small, follow these simple directions:

Internet Explorer/Netscape/Firefox Browsers

  1. Go to the “View” menu and select “Text size”
  2. Choose the “Medium” or “Default” option

AOL Browser

  1. Go to “My AOL” and select “Preferences”
  2. Choose the “WWW” icon
  3. In “Advanced Settings” select “Browser Display”
  4. Choose an appropriate text size

This should reset your browser font size back to the default. Following the same method, the size can be changed again if you need to make it larger or smaller. Bottom line, our redesign makes it possible for you to use the font size that is most readable to you.

What if I'm seeing plain text on a white background?

Your web browser might be a bit too old to adequately handle our site's changes. In order to experience everything MDC Online has to offer, you might need to upgrade to a more modern browser. Following are links to the latest versions of the most commonly used browsers. One of these should work for you:
