Since October 1991, Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center has offered thousands of visitors a fresh look at Missouri's forests, fish and wildlife. Come explore the nature center and see for yourself the value of wisely using our resources in the urban setting--and throughout the state.

Backyard wildlife

Urban living includes wildlife neighbors. The Department of Conservation's special displays help you understand the birds, mammals, fish and reptiles commonly found in Missouri backyards, parks and forests.

What does it cost?

Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center is owned and operated by the Missouri Department of Conservation which manages the forests, fish and wildlife resources of the state. No fees are charged at the nature center.
