Becky L. Plattner, Grand Pass, Secretary

(Democrat—term expires July 1, 2013)

Becky Plattner has served the public since 1981 and as the twice-elected Presiding Commissioner and Budget Officer of Saline County from 2002-2010. Until the sudden death of her husband, Russell, in December 2009, she also worked as Financial Manager of their family farming business, Plattner Brothers Custom Farming, LLC. Ms. Plattner attended the University of Central Missouri and Missouri Valley College with an accounting major.

Ms. Plattner is an agricultural advocate, enlightening audiences through public speaking engagements on issues facing the agricultural industry. She is an active member of the National Wildlife Conservation Federation, Farm Bureau, Saline County Chapter of Quail Unlimited, Saline County Cattlemen’s Association, Santa Fe Agri-Leaders, and Missouri Young Farmers, as well as a strong supporter of both FFA and 4-H. She is a true conservationist and an avid gardener.
