Herschel "Woody" Bledsoe was the host of fire prevention radio programs for the Missouri Dept. of Conservation in the late 1950s and early 1960s.

The Missouri Department of Conservation is celebrating its 75th anniversary. Throughout 2012, this page will feature Missouri’s unique, citizen-led conservation story, including Conservationist articles highlighting the many successful partnerships and programs that have helped restore Missouri’s fish, forest and wildlife—and meet conservation challenges ahead.
