Discover Nature — Fishing Volunteers

Volunteer to help teach kids and families to fish

If you love sharing your passion for fishing with others, we've got a great volunteer opportunity for you!

We need experienced anglers in communities all around Missouri to help kids and families learn to fish through our free Discover Nature — Fishing Program. The program's goal is to help beginners gain the skills and confidence to go fishing on their own.

We need volunteers from April through October.

Get training and choose your level of involvement

We offer volunteer training, and we keep class sizes small, so you can focus on teaching and coaching.

You can specialize in a single lesson (or two), or you can master and teach all four lessons. Visit the Discover Nature — Fishing Program page to review the list of four lessons.

Browse the events calendar below to find a training opportunity near you.

Sound like a great fit for your interests, skills, and available time? Please browse our Regions section to find the phone number for your regional office — and thanks!
